How to Create a Project and Generate a Submittal Log

Create your submittal log in minutes!

Step 1:Click on Start New Project after successful login, click on "Start New Project” button to create a project. 

Step 2: 

Provide Project Details. Fill in all the details based on your project.

  1. Project Name. Enter the name of your project

  2. Project Number. Enter the number assigned for the project. 

  3. Version Name. Enter the version name of the specs (e.g: Issued for Construction)

  4. Description. Provide a description for your project (Optional)

Step 3: 

Provide Address. 

Fill in all details based on your project address

  1. Address. Enter the address of your project

  2. City. Enter the city of your project

  3. State. Enter the state of your project

  4. Zip Code. Enter the zip code of your project

Step 4:Upload your files by clicking on "Browse from my computer” button or simply drag the files into the left rectangular box. You can upload more than file, say Volume 1, Volume 2 etc or multiple spec sections, at the same time. Only PDF files should be uploaded here. 

Step 5:  Validate the Project Specs.After all the project specs are uploaded, check the "Have you uploaded all of your project specs?” checkbox. Then click on Validate button to validate all the uploaded files. Several checks are covered as part of this validation step. 

Step 6:Generate Submittals.After all the uploaded files are validated successfully, a success message will come up as shown below. Click on Validate Submittals button to start the run for generating a submittal register. After completion of the run,  a confirmation message will be sent to you.

If there are any errors during validation, then an appropriate error message will be displayed. 

Step 7: 

Submittal Register Complete.  Your submittal register is available for your review in few minutes. Pype AutoSpecs will default Action and Informational, Closeout and Mockup requirements. But if you want to select more, please make sure to select the requirements you want to view.
