How to Use SpecView

A quick guide on utilizing the SpecView tool.

Step 1:
Choose your project.

 Step 2:
Once on your Smart Register there are two ways to access SmartView.  You can click the "SmartView" tab located on the left side of the screen. Or click the "PDF" icon next to the submittal you would like to view.

You will now see your Spec Sections table of contents on the left, your spec PDF in the middle, and the related submittals on the right.

Step 3:
Click the submittal you would like to view from the right side of the page. The submittal will be  highlighted in the PDF where that submittal is located.

You will be able to Add, Filter, Download and Export your submittals directly from the top of this page.

Step 4:
To manually add a submittal click "Add" fill out all of the submittal information and then click "Save". 

Step 5:
Click "Filter" to drill down into specific submittal groups. 

Step 6:
By clicking "Action" you will be able to complete several different actions. You can share your project with a member of your team, download your project specs, spec section PDFs, or requirements overview. You can also create a submittal schedule or export your submittals to your PM Software from the actions menu.

You can also search for a submittal by typing a keyword into the search pane.
